Today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai feels like one of those family dinners where someone mentions politics, and suddenly everyone is either yelling or storming off in a huff. The episode kicks off with a bang—emotionally, at least—when Ruhi decides to take out all her frustrations on Abhira. Seriously, Ruhi’s list of grievances is so long, I’m surprised she didn’t include “that time you ate the last slice of pizza.”

Ruhi’s Meltdown: Because One Emotional Breakdown Is Never Enough

Ruhi’s tirade is a masterpiece of soap-opera drama. She’s angry, hurt, and convinced Abhira has personally wronged her by existing. Somehow, she also seems to think that Abhira is the reason Akshu is pregnant, which is, you know, impressive logic. (Not sure how that works, but okay, Ruhi. You do you.)

Manish, as always, plays peacekeeper, but Ruhi isn’t interested in peace. Oh no, she’s here to burn bridges—and then throw a couple of accusations on the fire for good measure. Poor Abhira is left reeling, but in true soap-opera fashion, instead of calmly explaining her side, she does what anyone would do in this situation: runs off crying.

Abhira dramatically collapses in a way that would make any Bollywood star proud. Enter Armaan, who shows up like a hero in a (somewhat) shiny cape, ready to save the day. He gently scoops her up and sets her on a swing—because nothing says, “I’ve got your back” like a nice, relaxing swing. He tells her everything’s going to be okay, and then, as quickly as he arrived, he rushes off to yell at Ruhi. That’s right, folks, even Armaan is getting a slice of the drama pie today.

Ruhi, of course, is still simmering with rage. Armaan tries to be the voice of reason, but let’s be real—when has reasoning ever worked in this show? Ruhi’s response to his attempts at reconciliation is basically, “Talk to the hand,” and so the emotional ping-pong game continues.

Meanwhile, over at the Kapadia household, Dadi is having a moment of her own.She’s known for her remarkable composure, but even she is not able to suppress the flood of tears at this particular instance. With tears in her eyes, she admits to Manisha and Manoj about her overwhelming consciousness how she is losing her family. And just when you think we are going back to another tissue moment, bam – Sanjay walks in that too with a completeness of tension that is bound to shake even Dadi’s belief in the institution of family. But hold on—Dadi’s not out of the game yet.

In a surprise twist that none of us saw coming (except everyone, because it’s Dadi), she rallies. Suddenly, she’s doling out life advice like a motivational speaker at a self-help conference. “Abhira is the answer to everything,” she declares, like a wise sage. Sure, Dadi. If by “everything” you mean “even more drama.”

It’s morning, and while Abhira is still moping around, a subplot begins to bubble up with Charu and Krish. Charu’s trying to figure out how to balance her career with marriage, while Krish is gently being nudged (okay, shoved) into following his father’s career path. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual emotional chaos. For a few brief moments, we almost think they might actually make sensible decisions—until Kajal enters the scene, pushing Charu to meet a prospective groom. Naturally, Charu’s reluctance promises more trouble down the road. Stay tuned for that drama bomb to go off.

Dadi to the Rescue: Abhira’s Comeback Story (With a Case File, No Less)

But back to the main event. Abhira’s still sulking, this time in the outhouse, because where better to reflect on your life choices than, well, a tiny, isolated building? Cut to Dadi, who is in no mood for any nonsense. She makes her entry and seems all set to give a motivational speech aimed at Abhira that could put even the likes of Rocky to shame. ‘You are going to rise from the ashes,’ she says to Abhira while handing her a folder that for some reason is supposed to symbolize her return to glory.

Yes, that’s right. Dadi believes that the key to fixing the broken family, winning the court case, and restoring everyone’s happiness lies in Abhira’s law career. I’m not sure how that logic works, but hey—Dadi’s never been wrong before (except for all those other times).

Ruhi’s Cold War Continues: Because Holding Grudges Is a Family Tradition

Meanwhile, Ruhi is still simmering like a pot about to boil over. She’s mad, and she’s not ready to forgive anyone, least of all Abhira. But Dadi is undeterred.She firmly believes that Abhira is going to saunter inside the courtroom and ace the case.In stark contrast, the other members of the clan display a completely different perspective. Take Vidya for example, who amuses herself giving Dadi’s idea the side-eye but does not stop there, contemplating that perhaps giving them a random case file would not fix all their problems. (Which I mean – she does make sense.)

The Confrontation of Abhira: Let’s Go To The Court

Nonetheless, Abhira chooses to give it a shot. With a case file in her hand and Dadi’s words still echoing in her mind, she steps out towards the court. It’s a fierce moment of celebration (or so we’re made to believe), and as she steps out of the room, Dadi looks at her with satisfaction firmly believing that her words proved to be helpful.On the other hand, the rest of the family watches with varying degrees of hope, doubt, or simply indifference. After all, when did anything, ever, in this family go without a hitch?

In the precap, Manisha expresses her gratitude towards Armaan for handling Dadi’s situation well. As a reward, Dadi gifts Abhira a brand-new cabin, because why not? But because nothing good lasts for long in this world, Armaan is seen scolding Abhira about something mysterious, reminding us all that love, family, and soap-opera-worthy drama are always more complicated than they seem.
